These small groups meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 am (Discipleship Hour) for a time of sharing and the teaching of God’s Word. It’s a great place to develop life-long friendships and to grow in your faith.

Sunday Morning Classes

Nehemiah Class taught by Wayne McCurley - Room 201
Our class will begin a study on prayer using "Talking with God" by Charles Stanley. We want to follow up on the discipline of prayer, improve our prayer lives and obey what the Bible teaches us on prayer.

 

Berean Class taught by Ron Durham (Joe Kost, Assistant) - Fellowship Hall

This winter quarter we will focus on selected short passages of Scripture that bring strength and encouragement to our souls. The purpose is to allow these Scripture verses to transform our minds to the mind of Christ -- training us to think as He thinks. Our practice will be to read, pause and reflect, then take that portion and turn it into prayer, which becomes our spiritual bread for each day.

 

Joshua Class taught by Paul Adams/Tim Draayom - Room 203
Our class will be studying Galatians this quarter. Often we think that we must work harder, live better, and pray longer to get on God's good side. The apostle Paul challenges this kind of thinking. In Galatians Paul shows us the true source of our acceptance - Jesus Christ and the freedom that we can experience through his grace.

Sunday Evening Classes

Sunday Evening Fellowship taught by Theron Packard

We will be re-focusing on selected chapters from "Choose the Life" by Bill Hull.

 

Crown Financial Ministries Jan. 16th 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Fellowship Hall
A 10 week in-depth study of what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. Study Group Members have confirmed that marriages are being strengthened and individuals are finding their way out of debt. Most importantly, people are entering into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn to apply His Word. Christian Growth Institute

We are offering two classes this winter quarter beginning Sunday, January 25th and continuing for ten consecutive weeks.  These classes will both meet from 7:10-8:25 p.m. each Sunday night.  We encourage you to consider one of these classes.  Child Care will be provided (please be sure indicate on the sign-up sheet if you need child care.)  For more information, please call the church office at 770-422-9335.

 

Hermeneutics I taught by Ron Durham

This class will equip you with the tools for studying and interpreting the Bible. The textbook for this study will be the Bible and Howard Hendrick's book entitled, Living by the Book.  Cost (for the book) is $10.

 

Israelology  taught by Keith Eddie

This class will cover the vital role that Israel has in God's prophetic plan for the future.
