Senior Pastor: Dr. Byron Morgan - Dr. J. Byron Morgan began his ministry here at Mountain View Church on May 22, 2000. He came to us from Community Church of Portage Lakes, Akron, Ohio, where he served as Senior Pastor for over ten years. Previously, he served as the senior pastor at Riverside Evangelical Free Church in Riverside, CA for ten years. He received his BA degree from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS, in 1972; his M. Div. degree from Talbot Theological Seminary, La Mirada, CA in 1979, where he majored in New Testament Greek; and his Doctor of Ministry Degree in 1989 from Biola University, La Mirada, CA, where his major emphasis was in Marriage and Family Ministries and Counseling.

Dr. Morgan is married to Debbie, his wife of 35 years, and has three children, Joshua, 30 years old, Caleb, 27, and Cherith, 21.

Pastor Morgan is still an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan!

Pastor of Student Ministry: Shannon Kelly - Shannon Kelly’s ministry at Mountain View began in the summer of 2006, coming to us with seven years of experience in full time youth ministry. Shannon holds a B.A. from Moody Bible Institute anda Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary majoring in Evangelism and Discipleship. He and Dixie have been married for eleven years and have three children -- Tyler, 9; Trenton, 7; and Victoria, 3. Shannon is originally from Iowa and Dixie is from Texas. God has given Shannon a heart devoted to Him and a passion for evangelism and discipleship. Beyond his passion for youth, Shannon has a passion for playing basketball!

 

Administrative Assistant : Cristy Eddie - Cristy has extensive experience in the legal field, having worked as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant for over 20 years. More recently, she has run her own skin care business as a licensed Esthetician. She has served in children’s ministry, as an administrator and leader for women’s ministry, single mom’s ministry and women’s bible studies. She and her husband Keith have also lead Crown Ministry classes and home bible studies. Cristy and Keith (who recently retired from the San Marino Fire Department where he served as a Captain, Fire Fighter and Paramedic for 23 years) relocated to Georgia from California in July, 2006. They have four children, Shawn, 32; Andrew, 28; Stacey, 27; and Russell 25; two grandchildren, Ryon, 4 and Jackson, 2; and two very spoiled dogs. When she has time, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, working out, hiking and bike riding.

 

 

Financial Secretary: Lisa Ditthardt - Lisa Ditthardt has been a member of MVC for eleven years. Lisa is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors of Business Administration majoring in marketing and minoring in art. Lisa brings a great amount of work experience to the position of Financial Secretary having served with firms such as J. Vincent Hughes and Assoc., CPA, CMI, Inc and Quadomain, Inc in Florida.

Lisa has been married to Buddy, MVC’s interim music director, for twenty-two years. They have three children Drew (20) a junior in college, Lauren (18) a graduate of Harrison High School and Matthew (7). When Lisa has time, she is an awesome tennis player.
